International Maritime Organization (IMO)

We would like to announce that Mr. Karim Salama , Chairman of Board of Directors of MELC Group – Middle East Logistics and Consultant and member of the ACS – Alexandria Chamber of Shipping, has participated as part of the Egyptian delegation to support Egypt’s candidacy in the International Maritime Organization, which was held in London in November 2025,  headed by his Excellency General Kamel El-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Transport (Head of Delegation), and with the participation of all members of the Alexandria Chamber of Shipping.

This is with the aim of strengthening Egyptian diplomatic efforts to support Egypt’s re-election to the Council of the International Maritime Organization, due to its global strategic position as a global shipping lane and regional center for maritime transport.
